Beginning with the Grand Opening of the new Morgan Hill Library at 660 W. Main Ave. on July 21, 2007, the Friends of the Morgan Hill Library has been offering books, audio and video recordings for sale in our store at its new permanent location in the library. The store is staffed by volunteers. Hours of operation are as follows*:


Sunday - closed -
Monday - closed -
Tuesday 1 pm - 7 pm
Wednesday 10 am - 7 pm
Thursday 1 pm - 7 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4:30 pm

* subject to availability of staffing

Quarterly Book Sales
The next quarterly Big Book Sale will be held in the Program Room at the library on Saturday, December 13, 2008, from 10 am to 4 pm, with Members-Only Preview from 9 am to 10 am. Sorry, there are no Friday evening Preview sales this time.
Please note:  The books have regular prices from 10 am to 2 pm, and are half-price from 2 pm to 4 pm. (Books-By-The-Bag will be $5/bag from 10 am to 2 pm, then $2/bag from 2 pm to 4 pm.)  View the printable flyer (Adobe PDF format, 689 kB).

Volunteers Needed

Book Sorters
Book donations are sorted three mornings a week — Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. If you would like to become a regular, once-a-week book sorter, please contact the Book Sale Coordinator, Karen MacDonald, at 408-779-3995, or Carol O'Hare, at 408-782-9029 for more information.

Bookstore or Book Sale Volunteers
Friends of the Morgan Hill Library members are encouraged to volunteer to staff the store or staff our Big Sales. Prior to working, you will be trained and will have an opportunity to shadow other Bookstore workers. Then, you can sign up for any 3-hour block, or work any Big Book Sale. Contact the Book Sales Schedulers, Karen MacDonald, at 408-779-3995, or Carol O'Hare, at 408-782-9029 to schedule your training today!.
